Redamo Rosa is a Puerto Rican writer, director, cinematographer, editor, photographer and actor born and raised in Los Angeles where he currently resides. A graduate of the Cinematic Arts department at LACHSA (LA County H.S for the Arts) Rosa earned a Latino Grammy nomination his senior year for best Long Form Music Video for “Hotel de los Encuentros.”
He went on to direct music videos for Atlantic records and is a freelance director with clients such as Nettwerk Music Group, Sony Music Latin, AWAL, Interscope Records and Atlantic.
Rosa is an avant garde and surreal creative exploring his art across crafts including experiential and narrative shorts towards the goal of making his first feature film.
The young filmmaker has been steeped in the arts growing up in a household with a musician dad and actress/creative director mom and is inspired by the careers of filmmakers such as Spike Jonze and David Lynch for their ability to fuse their vision across art, film, music videos and commercials.
Understanding the importance of authentic performances, Rosa is an associate at the Actors Gang. He is currently developing a series of experiential shorts shot on 16mm Kodak Motion Picture film; Nouveau Visage starring Alexandra Yvette and Light Bulb starring Briley Stout.
